Pattern does not have to be loud to make a kitchen interesting. For this finished kitchen detail, we worked with a white geometric backsplash that brings shape and rhythm to the wall while preserving the bright, relaxed feeling of the room.
From a distance, the surface reads as calm and light. Up close, the elongated shapes become visible and give the wall its personality. That quiet shift is exactly what we love about a tonal pattern.

Pattern without a colour commitment
Colour and pattern can each change the energy of a room, but they do not always need to arrive together. Using white tile with a light joint keeps the palette restrained while still drawing a repeating outline across the backsplash.
This approach is especially helpful when the things that live on the counter already bring colour and character. Cookbooks, serving pieces, artwork, and everyday objects can change with the season. A detail that rewards a closer look
